Planika started from a simple bonfire in the heart of the Australian continent, under the red Ayers Rock by two tourists Alfred Weilandt and Jerry Dabrowski. The atmosphere created by the flames sparked a journey to find an easy way to have the same fire in contemporary interiors without the existing difficulties in the form of soot, ash and the need for a chimney.
